The green new deal calls for government control of every single home office and factory to tear down or retrofit them to comply with massive environmental energy regulations. The beef industry is a direct target for elimination. It will start with mandatory decreases in meat consumption until it disapears from our daily diet. The consumption of dairy will follow. Since the revelation of the green new deal the national debate is now over cattle emissions of methane and the drive to eliminate them from the planet. Controlling what we eat is a major part of the green new deal. "Zero economic growth" The green new deal calls for a massive welfare plan where no one worldwide earns more than anyone else. So where will jobs come from after we have banned most manufacturing, shut down most stores, stopped single family home construction, closed the airline industry and severely regulated farms and the entire food industry? This is their answer to the hated free markets and individual choice. The green new deal will destroy the very concept of out Constitutional Republic, eliminating private property and locally elected represenative government, free markets and individual freedoms. All decisions in our lives will be made for us by the government – just to protect the environment of course. How well that scheme works to keep the masses under control!

11. Even the stupidest person should realize that a 1 or 2 degree increase in the global climate poses no threat to anyone on planet earth. Almost all life on the planet has adapted to survive in a wide range of temperatures. Even a 4-5 degree increase isn't dangerous. Most life is adapted to survive swings as great as 50 – 150 degrees as we go through the seasons from summer to winter.

    The real fear is that global warming will raise sea levels. But here are the facts. The arctic ice is sea ice. It already displaces the ocean as much as it ever will. Even if the entire arctic were to melt the sea level wouldn't rise even 1 millimeter. In order to raise sea levels by any appreciable degree the Antarctic ice would have to melt.

    The first question to ask is what is the melting point of ice? Everyone knows it's 32 degrees F.

    The next question is what is the average temperature of Antarctica? -56 degrees F.

    Well what is the average summer temperature of Antarctica? -10 degrees F.

    Unless the laws of physics change and ice starts melting at much lower temperatures it's impossible for the Antarctic ice to melt and impossible for the global sea level to rise by any appreciable extent.

    Not surprisingly even during periods in earths history that were much much warmer than today the Antarctic ice didn't melt.

    So if there is no chance we are about to be inundated by rising ocean levels, then what are people so worried about?

    You would think the alarmists would at least take the time to double check the melting point of ice against the temperature in Antarctica before making absurd predictions that have no chance of ever coming true.
