13. From everything the NTSB has released, it looks like the pilot was simply overconfident in his abilities as a pilot. He either thought he knew better than his instruments, or possibly thought his instruments were wrong

Never dismiss weather!….No one has control over fog!….The copter should not of flown…This was a simple case off Russian Roulette!…The hardest thing is not to be hard on the pilots CHOICE to fly the copter (regarding weather)….Simple ask the BOSS …KOBE…He would NEVER OFF PUT ANY LIFE AT RISK!….He himself CHOSE to fly the copter in possible danger…He did not take notice of others choices..(Police) NOT TO FLY……If he was flying other than KOBE would he chose to fly?…we will never know?……life lost with so much life more to live….RIP.

26. I know nothing about aviation especially helicopters but I don't understand why a pilot wouldn't just climb up above the fog early on? Like when he first encountered it.. just climb above it and fly somewhere else away from it.. I don't get it
