  1. It seems to me that the unvaccinated owe a debt of gratitude to all of those who have chosen to be vaccinated. At the same time, they could observe the improved state of mind of those who are now vaccinated. I, for example, no longer cringe when in proximity of someone who’s not wearing a face mask. They’re either vaccinated and not a danger — or, they’re not a significant danger to me even if they are unvaccinated.

In communities where vaccination rates are lower, the number of new Covid cases are still highly problematic. When the more infectious variants arrive, this rate will dramatically increase. Meanwhile, I look forward to receiving my booster shot.

Note: One lesson that we’re being reminded of is how interconnected we all are and that, in the sense of community, caring about the well being of others is part of the “Golden Rule”

The Science Behind Vaccine Research and Testing

The creation of a vaccine involves scientists and medical experts from around the world, and it usually requires 10 to 15 years of research before the vaccine is made available to the general public. The first step of this extensive process involves several years of laboratory research, in which scientists and researchers identify an antigen that can prevent a disease.

Once the test vaccine has been cleared for further investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, at least three more phases of thorough clinical trials are conducted on human volunteers to test vaccine efficacy, to determine appropriate dosage, and to monitor for adverse side effects, etc. These trials usually take several more years to complete.

  5. We only “taste” with our NOSE! It’s olfaction, not tongue!! That’s why when we have a cold, we say I can’t taste anything. Check your facts. Our tongues have mouthfeel, eg astringency, salty, sour, sweet and bitter. No flavors.

  6. Whenever you hear of some supposed danger which is threatening to completely destroy us, understand that you are probably listening to a conditioning ploy designed to make us so frightened that we will allow our leaders to systematically dismantle our current civilization.
