20. As a registered Democrat, I was actually impressed with Senator McConnell's cogent statement, which reveals him to be a reasonable, and responsible, legislator. This is in sharp contrast to the steady stream of character assassination that I have heard from commercial media outlets, e.g. comparing him to a "turtle." Senators are free to vote according to their own conscience, and understanding of the facts at hand. What can be more reasonable, and in the public interest, than that?
