Thank you Mike Epps for putting it into perspective, we were laughing, but Richard was crying. I never had any idea his childhood caused his so much pain. Sure makes me feel sad now for Richard, but somehow I still feel Richard had a purpose, because my very first real belly laughter, was watching his comedy show. He also broke barriers bringing reality to stage like police brutality, which I know wasn't easy for him to be the first. So yes he is up there with the other greats that spoke the truth. Richard Pryor should be revered not just because he was one of the best Comedians but also because he was a survivor and a fighter on his path of life. The lessons he learned & those that we learn from him. Nobody's totally perfect or imperfect in this world.
