I graduated the same day of this shooting. Even had people in my division going there that day.
The ongoing problem of why American Military personnel are being slaughtered inside American borders and abroad is that the American Federal and State Military Hierarchy does Not Trust it's own subordinate personnel with being Armed with Firearms and Ammunition.
The US Military Hierarchy has become an Inefficient Dangerous Burocratic "Swamp" that must be drained of such a minset.

The US Military Hierarchy has repeatedly shown itself to be Arbitrarily against the Arming of Military Personnel.
As such they are part of the problem and as such pose a safety risk to Military Personnel's lives. As to the repeated pattern of such incidents.
What is needed to overcome this Dangerous dilemma is for a Federal Law -Legislation to be drawn up and be made passed into law that is similar to the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act.
The LEOSA Act is a Federal Law which allows current certifed and certain former certified Lawenforcement Officers to carry a concealed firearm nationwide for personal safety.
A copy of this ( LEOSA) Act law for Non Lawenforcement Military
Personnel needs to be drawn up by the Congress and passed, signed into Federal Law by the President. A "Military Personnel Safety Act" if you will.
Such needs to be made into law as to bypass dealing with the compromised Senior Military Hierarchy who are opposed to the Arming of subordinate personnel.
Had Ensign Watson been armed he could very well be alive today.
The preventable loss of Ensign Watson and others lives is unacceptable. Such repeated preventable loses also effects the readiness of the US Arned Forces.
As Military personnel Lives Matter! Soldiers, Sailors, Marines,Airmen, Guardsmen can be certified to carry a firearm for individual Personal and Unit Self Defense to be an overall component part of Force Protection.
