  1. I'm sitting here, thinking of Collin, his brothers and his sister's. I went camping with him and his family. He was a person that I knew would do great things in his life. Two year after his death and I'm still outraged at how fraternities are still hazing men and women alike. Every now and then his image comes to mind, that piercing smile that would turn any frown upside down, and his friendly, welcoming personality warm my heart, and knowing that someone like that is up above watching me, puts both a smile on my face, but also pushes me to be an individual who will always do what is right.

  2. Next year another person will die of hazing and we will be having the same discussion. Nothing will change because schools allow it.

  3. Hes 18 years old. He could leave whenever he wants. Obviously its not good that he died. But their son was a part of the problem.

  4. college is a scam. The worst hazing is how college makes you take classes that are not even relevant & professor that rather do research than teach.

  5. Funniest thing ever was seeing college students in the courthouse. They'd walk in with some high dollar lawyer and acted like freaking Paris Hilton lol

  6. I'm glad schools are taking the crimes seriously and taking the whole frats out but they should really do better to prevent these types of things from happening, like a mandatory check in for new members and mandatory prevention meetings for current members. The drugs and the beatings? Really? We really do have psychopaths just walking around waiting for a chance to prey on the ignorant and naive.

  7. Parents often don't like facing theirs kids misguided decisions. Hard to know how much was a conscious decision and what not inside a frat house.

  8. This isnt hazing, this is murder. I was hazed along with thousands of others and I freaking loved it. Best time of my life and I wouldnt trade a single experience for anything. 99% of individuals are smart enough to know when enough is enough. Too bad the 1% ruins it for everyone else. Phi alpha!

  9. Sad but wasn't it the boys choice to join the fraternity and couldn't he back out. We have more important issues: rape and sexual assault to deal with hazing

  10. I remember this. His poor parents. Idk if it sounds insensitive but if they were helping with college they may still have to pay back his unused loan. Either way between this and the student from Penn State hazing needs to be addressed.

  11. so many wimpy young men in todays society. if someone offers you drinks when you are already too drunk. you say no. if they keep trying, punch them in the face. that simple

  12. When I first heard about this it sounded like the students physically murdered this guy, yeah some terrible choices in this, but I'm not sold that this is murder. It's manslaughter yes, but murder? He OD'd on nitrous.
Now, if they forced it on him while he was unconcious that would be different, but I haven't heard anything like that.
As it is this is stupid kids making stupid decisions.

  13. How many times does this have to happen before it stops? Forcing nitrous oxide is not “hazing”, it is a way for sociopaths to torture people.

  14. millennials are so soft now a days…. take a little drugs and some hazing and they die…. smh back in my day we would get hazed and were able to snort several ounces of coke in 30 mins while injecting heroin and popping pills…. another thing millennials ruin
