These scams are pretty real. A lot of times, it's people buying cars cheap at auction. Then they do the bodywork and just enough engine work to make it run. Then they sell the car out of their 'mom's house', which is usually just a random address where they know the owner won't be around. A lot of times, the vehicles are unsafe. I found one where the whole SRS system had been triggered, but the 'dealer' sold it by cutting off the SRS warning light. The person was driving around in a car with seatbelts and an airbag that wouldn't work properly in an accident (luckily, he was rearended at relatively low speed, so the SRS failure didn't matter). The problem is, due to the anonymity of the internet, people can get away with it relatively easily. They prey on ignorant customers, so hopefully videos like this open some eyes.
