    40,000 ventilators. Few were used.
    The Navy Hospital ship was reconfigured and ported in NYC – never used.
    A huge Tent Hospital constructed and almost not used.
    Tons of PPE by emergency order manufacture.
    Aside from that, The 10th Amendment gives you the responsibility of taking care of your state and your people:
    "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.""
    The above means that each state is responsible for providing a safe place for their citizens.
    The Feds are there to provide support if necessary.
