I think these lung problems are the combo of THC & nicotine together. mostly they are coming from black markets. I've been vaping for 4 years and no problems. In fact I'm feeling much better.than smoking cigarettes. it cuts out the tar, the tar is a major problem. your just forcing us to go back to something worse. cause of this ban. So please end the ban. The ban is like saying to an addict just shop taking drugs for those who do that. I myself never done drugs but hear it's extremely hard to just stop. The youth vaping epidemic has nothing to do with flavors at all. The kids like JUUL and devices like it, and nic-salts. The two combined provide kids with a nicotine buzz, and discreet vaping. This would have happened whether there flavors or not. Get rid of JUUL & devices like it:, & get rid of nic-salts- and that will solve the youth increase in vaping legal vaping products. The illnesses and deaths are from illegal black market products containing THC OIL, which also has nothing to do with flavors.
Yeah, the which hunt continues, wont be satisfied, wont clarify a thing. They didn't even mention 87% of the first 300 lung illnesses admitted or where found to have been using TCH cartridges. The chances are also that some people might lie about using illegal THC. THC may not have been detected depending on the length of time they where in the hospital and the particular procedures that where followed. I watched the entire video about the study done on these illness and one can only infer a causal relationship but, they don't even differentiate vaping nicotine from illicit TCH vaping in this news segment.

HEALTH: Vaping is roughly 95% safer than smoking combustible cigarettes. This is something invariably agreed upon by nearly every doctor who has done studies on it. Now this anti-vaping sentiment recently kicked into overdrive after 7 people died of a mysterious lung disease. In addition, some 600 odd Americans were hospitalized with similar symptoms. I wanted to make one thing very clear, “vaping” is just a verb (like smoking). Just as smoking cigarettes and smoking marijuana is different, so is vaping nicotine and vaping THC. With this recent epidemic of hospitalized teenagers, doctors agree that it was the vaping of THC that was responsible for these lung diseases. Even that wouldn't be a fair assessment. It was ILLEGAL THC vapes being sold in the black market that was responsible. The reason given is Vitamin E Acetate. In states where recreational use of marijuana is illegal, a black market was created. These guys cut their liquids with Vitamin E Acetate to give it more bulk, and improve the appearance of the final product (think baking soda in cocaine). Vaping has been around for over a decade. It is no coincidence that there have been no epidemics like this except in the last few months all at once. There is NO Vitamin E Acetate in nicotine eliquids. The ingredients have always been the same for nicotine eliquids: Nicotine, Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerine, and food flavoring. The culprit is these black-market THC dabs that are laced in garage conditions.
MEDIA COVERAGE: “Vaping kills children” is a much more intriguing title than “Illegal THC products kill children”. And so you’ll see basically every mainstream news outlet capitalize on this punchy headline. Watch any footage of the videos that are available, and you will see a very brief mention of these THC Vitamin E Acetate products, followed by a massive campaign against nicotine eliquids for no reason. They are essentially trying to LINK illegal THC vaping with nicotine eliquids. But using fear as the only means of argumentation for their platform only goes so far. Hiding from science to push agendas lacks longevity. Their only legitimate criticism is the marketing sector of the vape industry targeting children. Note that it is not the flavors that are the issue, but the marketing. Most adult vapers do not enjoy the rotten taste of tobacco flavors. In fact, the vast majority favors fruit. To say that the flavors themselves are only appealing to children is ludicrous. Both tobacco and alcohol products are brimming with “childishly” flavored products. However, we should acknowledge that the goofy looking nicotine eliquid bottles that look like they came from the back of an ice cream truck should be condemned. It doesn’t make me giddy with joy to say this, but fair is fair: This is “fake news”. As an intelligent adult with some semblance of logic, I implore the reader to think about this with a rational mind. Vaping nicotine has been popular for TEN YEARS. Zero deaths have occurred in that time. Yet within the past TWO MONTHS, 500 teens are hospitalized from “vaping”, and 8 are now dead. These are people who have been vaping for a very short amount of time. The only possible answer is that there has been an introduction of a NEW product to the market. That product is these new illegal black-market THC liquids that are being sold with unknown chemicals and Vitamin E Acetate. I understand the frantic mind of a parent, but these are people’s lives you are destroying for the sake of your unwarranted panic. If they return to smoking cigarettes, these are people’s lives you are ending for the sake of that same panic.
MONEY: It is generally recognized that the flow of politics and policy isn’t motivated by morality, but economics. So, I wanted to talk about that a bit and give an explanation WHY vaping is being banned. To cover this, I have to start with tobacco. Now the reason we can’t legally touch the tobacco industry is because of a document that was signed in 1998. This became known as the “Master Settlement Agreement”. Because the tobacco industry was putting so many people in the hospital, the government was footing the bill to cover healthcare. And so, the United States sued big tobacco. These companies acknowledged the damage they were doing, and agreed to basically give money to 46 US States every year in perpetuity. They also agreed to change their marketing campaigns targeting youth. In return, they would not be pursued any longer by our government. So, to this very day, 46 US States are being paid by big tobacco annually. NOW here’s the important thing. The amount of money each state gets is DEPENDENT on the amount of tobacco products sold in that state. Look closely at the red-colored states. These are the states that receive the most amount of money per year from big tobacco as a result of the Master Settlement Agreement. These are New York, California, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Washington. NOW look at the States that are currently working on legislation to ban vaping in the news: New York, California, Illinois, Michigan, and New Jersey. Isn’t that interesting? This is no coincidence. Tobacco sales have fallen over the past few years. As vaping is one of the main nicotine cessation alternatives to combustible cigarettes, the math is simple. The government on any tier (city, state, or federal) does not care about children dying or public health. They do not care about the unemployment this will bring to businesses and employees. They do not care about the millions that have found a way to rid their addiction to cigarettes. They do not care about your children dying. They care about money and public image. Please don’t allow them to step on the corpses of your children to attain their higher agendas.
The first vape was in China in 2003 patent by Hon Lik there has been no deaths in China from vaping it's from the vitamin e used in the THC cargo tanks to cut the THC
