  1. On NPR on October 29, 2019 Senator Sanders said he will not explain details of how to pay for his MFA. But we do know this from his plan:

****No one will be able to OPT OUT of Senator Sanders’ Medicare For All health care plan unless they want to pay for all of their medical care themselves. FactCheck confirms this.

****The MFA FORBIDS you to have anything else but Senator Sanders’ Medicare For All. You will have nothing to say about it. You will take what his plan gives you.

****WHO or WHAT will administer the plan? You will get care only if it's "medically necessary" and "appropriate." (MFA Sec. 401). Government bureaucrats will decide, and they will be under pressure to cut spending.

** It DESTROYS Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, TRICARE and a host of other programs that are, right now, the law of the land, by siphoning all their funds into his program.

Read Part VII of his bill. These are programs the Democrats have fought for years to get.

****FactCheck.org, the Washington Post and the BBC estimates health care providers operating under MFA will be reimbursed at rates more than 40 PERCENT LOWER than they earn now.

From Reason—“Cuts to hospital payments would be hardest to bear for rural hospitals that serve poorer populations. Many of these hospitals are, for obvious reasons, already struggling financially, and under a system of all Medicare rates, they would likely be first to close, leaving local residents with fewer health care options.”

The immediate impact would be retired doctors, laid off nurses, and closed down hospitals. Health outcomes would get bad very quickly, as many patients would be unable to obtain care.

****It FIRES millions of employees in the insurance sector. All other top SOCIAL DEMOCRACIES like Canada and the Nordic countries have not done that. Two hundred sixty-six million employees in the healthcare sector would be fired

****It FORBIDS you to keep your insurance program from your job. Sanders’ MFA is all you get. Your present plan may be far better than Sanders’ plan but you won’t be allowed to keep it.

Roughly half of Americans — or more than 150 million people — get their health insurance through their jobs today.
The Culinary Union in Vermont has condemned this part of Sanders’ plan and the Bernie Bros have viciously attacked them.

****It FORBIDS you to purchase a backup policy. Sanders’ MFA is all you get. MFA BILL (Sec. 107, Sec. 522)
Other top SOCIAL DEMOCRACIES like Canada and the Nordic countries have allowed backup policies.

  2. 149 million american's don't like their health insurance, THEY WANT HEALTHCARE!! Whats insurance when your deductible is $3000 out of pocket? ?!? Who has that sitting around just in case? Seriously you didn't understand that bill or just want to keep big health insurance in place.

  3. https://truthout.org/articles/corporate-media-enable-industry-war-against-medicare-for-all/

"The for-profit health industry is aware that support for a national health system like Medicare for All has risen in recent years, along with unprecedented grassroots energy. Moreover, health care costs rank as the biggest concern among Americans. Resistance is almost entirely driven by the for-profit health industry, who work to portray the illusion of widespread opposition to — and fear of — a national health system. Corporate media outlets have helped them tremendously along the way."

  4. Most privately insured Americans would welcome and/or be grateful after the fact for losing their current insurance plans for a comprehensive plan like Bernie’s M4A.

  5. EU pays for universal healthcare by taxing upper income earner at 50% and middle class at 30% and a 25% VAT everyone pays. EU allows private health insurance on top of universal health care while Bernie wants to outlaw it.

Bernie is criminally out of touch. Can't have EU style healthcare without EU style taxes.

  6. So many lazy fucks in this world now i have two different jobs one that provides primary insurance and one that provides secondary insurance as i have to while I’m full time in college. I have crohns disease and have to get infusions that usually cost 20,000 dollars every 8 weeks. Once i meet my deductible of 3k at the start of the year everything is covered for the rest of the calendar year good deal if you ask me seeing that my medical bills for a whole year would exceed 130k. Now you say you want to get rid of my private health care and say free medicare who would pay for that 130k worth of medicine i am receiving per year? Cause I’m damn sure I’m not the only one in the country with health issues and I’m damn sure the whole rest of the country doesn’t want it taken out of their taxes to pay for it. Moral is quit bitching and make shit happen life isn’t just handed to you earn it.

  7. How will this be paid for? More taxes? But what if my employer pays for myself and my families health insurance already? Obama said I got to keep my doctor, hopefully that can make the same promise.

  8. Its the same tired ass argument. Americans won't be able to enroll into a private health plan (at best, you will get supplemental private health care) but will be enrolled in an expanded medicare plan that will offer exhaustive coverage. And you can choose which doctor to go to.

Private plans suck. You can't choose your doctor, not everything is covered (which makes no sense when your health should never be compromised) and unexpected costs arise which put huge financial burdens on lower and middle class families.

M4A is the logical step forward. Hands down.

  9. They want the public option so the private health insurance complex can get the wealthy on their rolls, then under fund medicare and turn it into a high risk pool that becomes unsustainable. Don't take the bait people.

  10. 👏 Yay Amy reads words, next semester we need to focus on her reading comprehension so she can start to be able to understand what it all means
