A 2-year-old boy was injured after he sneaked past an airport counter and ended up on a baggage conveyor belt, according to his mother and airport officials.

The boy’s mother, Edith Vega, set him down for a moment on Monday afternoon to print out a boarding pass at a kiosk near the Spirit Airlines counter at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the toddler took off, Vega told ABC Atlanta affiliate WSB-TV.

  1. Why would there be an investigation into this incident? The boy only managed to sneak away from his mom after she turned away for just a second and had a mini adventure! 😂 I used to run off and wander a lot when I was a kid as well, and I would always make my poor older sister panic when she would try to find me.

  2. Keep your kids leashed please. I ran off my mom's watch when I was this young and got caught by target enployees ("The Cops" I called them because I've never seen one at 1½ old yet) and I rana second time nearly crossing traffic.

You should rather put yourself in some humiliation than go shopping for small casket for your child's corpse.

    This is could've been worse.

  3. There's too many irresponsible parents out there. You always got to keep an eye on your children that young. My son at a young age use to love to run around and can't keep still. I found a solution and when I'm traveling with him I bought a bookbag for him to wear with a leash that I can hold onto. Its the best solution for parents with kids that can't stay put.
