8. I live in a Hurricane ally in Mexico, we get lots of storms but our damage is so little,,, due to the fact we build our homes, including the roofs out of Concrete. Ive seen motor homes picked up and thrown so hard they explode into many pieces. But not one of our homes or neighbors homes has been damaged in the last 30 years. You can make a concrete home cheaper but nicer looking than a wooden stick house. The only major problem we have had is flooding, but still the homes can be cleaned to the point you would never have known. You would be surprised how nice a concrete home can look, even with concrete floors covered in ceramic tile.
