I lived in DC about 30 years ago. I was jumped coming out of bar on way to my car. They knocked me to the ground – took my glasses, tennis shoes and a few bucks. I moved with friend to condo high rise – no problems. At my old apartment, two guys were shot dead in the lobby 15 days later. It was on the morning news during a snowstorm in DC. DC is not safe for anyone at night.

This is another symptom of the crack and cocaine epidemic that started decades ago. "Super Predator" was a very accurate description. Actions like this are the reason cops are so apprehensive regarding black people, and why black people get shot so often. Crazy behavior like this should not be tolerated. I hope the victim recovers soon, but with head injuries he could be permanently disabled. Is there a reward for snitching on those children ?? They should be locked up like adults, for a long time.
Al Sharpton representing the teenagers of color held a press conference to express his outrage. He stated several of the teenagers have injuries to their hands and feet. He stated if white teenagers had committed this crime, they would not have injured their hands and feet. He stated this is yet another example of racism against criminals of color.
