  1. I was one of those who noticed this data breach when I tried to use the site, but saw illegal activity by them, then checked their code of their website. So, I told other core developers of Mozilla who were acquaintences to ask about if I was correct about that code being able to cause a data breach. They said yes, it seemed likely. So, I reported it to others, which I think was back in 2016 or 2017. Now, upon watching ABC News, tonight, while studying for my Database Fundamentals college class, I heard them say that that data breach that was reported by a couple people, overall, caused the CEO to resign, four people got charged for it, and that there were a number of civil lawsuits. Good. As it should be.

Learn the signs of code that will cause data breaches to happen to be aware for your Web Development clients to make sure it doesn't happen or continue to happen to them if another hacks their website and injects code that will cause data breaches to occur.

  3. 700 million ain't shit for the millions of consumers affected by the data breach. And why isn't anyone making light of the company stockholders that sold 2 million in Equifax stock before the public was even made aware of the breach? They're perpetuating fraud in plain sight, and could give 3 shits about your personal data. Equifax can fuck right off.

  4. Businesses are required by law to provide accurate and complete information on credit reports. This includes Equifax. Why are they allowed to continue when they know the data is compromised and inaccurate? Is that not a violation of consumer rights?

  5. Most people will not file claim. Those who claim will be made to jump through hoops. Only few will claim the money. The rest actually zits with company itself. Tell me if I am wrong.

  6. For those of us who's credit was breached, they should be required to monitor our credit daily for life! This does not end with a smack on the risk.

  7. We don't want money! I want my credit cleaned instead of money. That needs to be the normal when your company fucks up. Money is debt!! So you give money when you fuck up. Reputation is better than riches. Take that money and shove it up your ass, then shit it out, and jam it deep in your CEO's ass. You Equifax have been found wanting…

  8. What a fucking scam. The $700 mil should be distributed equally, and only to the victims – whether they had the means, time, and energy to go protecting their data afterward or not. It's events like this that suggest the USA isn't that different from China & Chinese-run (party-run) organizations.
