  2. FYI: the other men, those who where following rocky and his people, did not go to jail for these reasons:

    1) they are Swedish residents and are thus not considered a “flight risk”. All visitors who commit crimes in Sweden are technically at flight risk because they might leave the country before the trial, and so the custom is to hold them in custody until trial. But the other men hold Swedish visas and live here so there isn’t the same need
    2) they literally went to the hospital after the assault and stayed there for quite some time, so they actually couldn’t
    3) because they have not been reported for their crime. Several witnesses called the police on rocky and his bodyguards, but no one reported the others. But even if they did, one-time stalking incidents or light harassment isn’t as serious a crime as assault and so the consequences are milder

  3. Back in May of 2018, … Rapper G-Easy was arrested on charges of assault, possession of drugs, and use of narcotics in Sweden. But he was released within (48 hours).
So why is asap even locked up?

  4. Listening to the live stream of this was fucking painful. I'm Swedish, let me just explain a couple of things:

    1. The reason Asap has been locked up is because there is an obvious risk that he'll leave the country otherwise.

    2. We do not have a bail-system in Sweden, not for anyone. When Trump offers to pay his bail, it's basically like offering a bribe.

    3. The Swedish prime minister can not and will not try to intervene in the legal system, thank god.

    4. He is likely to get a short prison term or a fine, he is not likely to have to serve some long prison sentence. IF they conclude that a glass bottle was used, he risks prison, even if he was not the person holding the bottle, because then it would seem they definitely intended to seriously injure the guy.

    5. The only thing about this that sticks out from any other similar case, is that they have had him locked up during this time, but that has got nothing to do with his fucking skin color, it's simply because he is not Swedish and might leave the country, which would turn this into a much bigger diplomatic issue. It would make him an international escaped criminal, basically.

(Also, don't know if this needs to be said, but that whole TMZ report on the horrible conditions he is suffering in jail was obviously not correct, which both Rocky and his lawyer has stated since. People going on about how terrible he is being treated can chill, Rocky will be fine.)

  6. So… Filming yourself saying that you "don't want any trouble with them" and claiming they've been "following you" as an excuse for extremely excessive "self-defense" is okay in your books? I mean, anyone can pretend that they're going in with good intentions, but his actions show exactly the opposite. It shows him throwing someone into the curb and how they're ganging up on someone lying down and kicking/beating him.

Wake up. It's clear as day who is the main offender here, Rocky should serve some jail time for being a f*cking jackass. At least hide it better if you're going to break the law. You guys must be god damn blind if you think that he's innocent and was just "defending himself". Self-defense means you defend yourself against someone who endangers you, it doesn't mean that you assault and kick someone when there's no danger whatsoever to your safety.

Sweden might not be perfect, but at least it's far better than America if things like this goes unpunished or are seen as acceptable. Over here, the law actually means something and we don't elect some f*cking retard who f*cks everything up to be in charge of our country yet fail to do anything about him even though he'd be in jail if he was anything but the "president".

  7. In the 🇺🇸 the last word is talked by the president and in Sweden 🇸🇪 the last word is talked by the people ✊ long live Sweden 🇸🇪 fuck 🇺🇸 dictators

  8. Wow. It's horrifying to see that a country's legal system must not deal with a case like they would have done with everyone else just because there is a famous rapper involved. And especially all the hype because he is "black" Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia is not the United States.

We have neither the witch-hunt for blacks nor the urge to imprison the innocent. Maybe that's what people don't understand? Maybe they do not understand that a long case processing time is precisely not to imprison the innocent any more than necessary and also not release the guilty.

I understand that if you watch the video and take it as an explanation of the whole situation, you can sympathize with Rocky.

But perhaps people who defend Rocky should take into account that in most of Scandinavia one must only defend to the extent necessary and not commit violence if it is not justified.

So according to at least Danish laws and probably also Swedish law, "multiple people hitting on a person who already looks pacified and lying on the ground is the same as assault" and then it doesn't matter if the person has pursued them or provoked them.

I'm not writing this to decide whether Rocky and his crew are at fault, but more to point out that there could be an offence here.

Which brings me to my real concern. Why the hell should the President of the United States and other famous people interfere in the law of another country?

Sweden would then be just as corrupt as the US if they gave in to the pressure and did not investigate things just because the famous and the insane Trump asks for it.

What is happening to the world? It should not be called Before Christ (BC) and anno domini (AD) anymore but Before Trump (BT) and After Trump (AT) Year 3

  9. Anyhow, ASAP's crews' clips were heavily edited. The Swedish criminal system has obtained several witness accounts, cell phones etc and have pieced the events together. It is likely he will be charged and probably pay a fine or less likely serve some additional weeks in jail. So chill out, he is on his way home! Put it into perspective, in North Korea he could have been executed. Anyhow, regardless of being a 'troublemaker' or not, the Afghani immigrant was apparently pushed and choked/manhandled prior to throwing his headphones – perhaps after being mouthy but who cares …sticks and stones…. So, he obviously became more verbally engaged and followed the crew around (bad move). In the end, ASAP and his crew were not really threatened and still ended up jumping the small dude (look at him, he is an ant), repeatedly hit and kicked him (fractured rib), and also used a bottle (incredibly dumb move). Anyhow, there is a learning lesson for all parties. 1. Let the legal system of democratic countries run their courses – why should these cases be fast-tracked over Joe Schmoe's?. 2. Understand there is no such thing as bail in Scandinavia i.e. nobody gets privileges especially not by being rich (Trump – why not read up before you express your willingness to bail him out?) 3. Swedish jails are extremely posh, food is excellent, and more inmates gets rehabilitated vs. most other countries (especially the US). Obviously, holding cells are temporary and may not be as fancy. With that said, it is an unpleasant experience to be locked away in any country. 4. You can't use excessive force when 'defending yourself' – ASAP's crew was likely never threatened and may even be deemed as the aggressors at the end of the day. 5. Unlike the American criminal justice system, the Swedish system does not discriminate against blacks. Mind-boggling that so many people pulled up the race card on this one. 6. Don't be dumb enough to simply accept alternative facts or hype. 7. With all that said, Sweden should perhaps have fast-tracked this procedure to avoid this enervating aftermath? But certainly not because of ASAP being a celebrity.

  10. Looks to me like some Syrian guys were the aggressors. Swedish officials have gotten used to deferring to Muslims. In any case, not a single native Swede was involved.

  11. He not really in Jail he being cloned but just saying wait till he gets out of “Jail” He gone be acting to weird looking different Remember this Comment when it happens Ima say No more 👋🏽

  12. First of all irrespective of what colour ASAP has or if these guys were immigrants or not. That ASAP wanted to defend himself is ok from my point of you. But four people kicking and beating ONE single guy who is already on the ground and not a threat anymore? Was that really necessary and self defense? I don't think so.

  13. Until we hear both sides of the arguement its all speculation. The courts will run there course and both sides will present their evidence until than tRump should stay out of it. As for the rest please keep advocating for him and lets hope hes right and innocent.

  14. Yall rappers or black artist need to stop going to these places and supporting these countries because those in power hate your guts, and they are many demons in the crowd wanting to taste your blood, you can't say that you like the artists but all are quite and not standing up against injustice, from these places like Sweden, where are the fans? Why are there not protesting against these bias, misuse and abuse of power? If you see a man committing a crime and you stood by and watch and not say or do anything about it, means that you are complicit with the actions of the assailant, you may love the work of the black man and the entertainment but he's still black in your eyes and you still dispise him and that is an hysterical fact.

  15. Hi African-swede here. YES! I get it. It's frustrating to see ASAP go through this. I'm a big asap fan as well. But I feel I need to defend my country and remind some Americans how a fair justice system works:

    1. This has NOTHING to do with race. Justice is blind in Sweden. This means that it doesn't matter if your famous, black or American. We have a very rigid system. We don't elect prosecutors or judges which means that the justice system is TOTALY de-politicized. No trump – no famous – no Swedish politician can effect the justice system.

    They investigate. You wait.

    2. We have no bail. You wait until the investigation is done. If it was me – they would take my passport and send me home BUT.. if you're not a citizen and just visiting – you are a flight risk. And because we have free movement over borders in Scandinavian that means it's not enough to take your passport. You can just get in your car and 5 hours later walk into your Norwegian ambassady and get a new one.

    3. He's not in jail. He's in custody. Totally different. He can call who ever he wants. Wifi. Cable and good food. If he's cleared he will be compensated for lost income up to 80%.

Some of the worlds best treatment in custody in the world according to world rankings.

    4. Now.. Regarding self-defense. The argument was between the body guard and the guy. That's why none of THEM are being charged. Because the can blame eachother.

In the Swedish law- You have the right for proportional self defense. BUT.. That means 6 guys can't jump one guy that was harassing their friend. That becomes a whole new thing and that is the dilemma and grey area asap finds himself. I know it can seam stupid but just telling you how the Swedish law sees it.

    5. A lot of things being said about Sweden being racist. It is. Just like America and Europe we have big racist party in our country. But that has nothing to do with this because that party is, as for now, boycotted by other parties and have no government power. This is just a rigid justice system at its finest and most annoying.

  16. F*ck asap rocky this is the same man who said that he can't relate to black people because he lives in Beverly Hills and Soho so let the people who live in Beverly Hills and Soho fight for him I'm not going to

  17. Why can not Americans understand that you can not beat anyone, just because he follows you. Instead of beating them up, A$SAP should have called the police and reported the two men for harassment.

  18. I noticed stores in filming!!!
Could not the rapper run into the store for safety.
I am sure the workers would call sweddish Police!!!!
    A missed opportunity!!!!
    Wow, so sad

  19. 0:36 that’s not fighting or defending. That’s 4 guys jumping one guy. Sweden said president doesn’t have any influence on Swedish authorities. Let ASAP stay in jail it’s the attitude adjustment American jails couldn’t give him.
You gonna learn today, you gonna learn today.
