  1. After the 2020 election and Republicans take back the House and keep the Senate, term limits for SCOTUS and all Federal Judges should be seriously considered. I would support 6 years terms like the Senate. This way you don't get activism in judges. They're there for 6 years so they can focus on Constitutional law and move on to another area of law after their service to the Judicial Branch.

  2. Why would you want to say that you are not a citizen of US if you are a citizen of US?!? Makes zero sense – whatever the motivation behind asking it…

  3. So, I see RBG is appearing w both of Trumps Supreme Court pics.
This can only mean that they are COMPLICIT w whatever BS that is being perpetrated on us, the American people. Holy chit, I just saw her moving…is this a body double, or a reanimated corpse?
    Maybe they're fooled.

  4. As an American citizen, I will refuse to answer the citizenship question if it gets on the census.
I am certain that millions of American citizens will do the same.

  5. How is it Judicial independence While at the same time striking down an act by the executive branch ? Judicial independence Would mean to allow the Trump administration to ask whatever questions they want on the census . And Why is it wrong to ask for citizenship, but OK to ask where you work , how much you make , how many kids you have, your race ; The Democrats want to give you all the benefits of being a minority without the duty of being a citizen

  6. Disgusting act of unamerican behavior by the supreme court. Is there any line the supreme court will draw between citizens and illega foreigners. Is there anything that Democrats will reserve just for American citizens.

  7. The 14th Amendment speaks to citizenship. A citizen is defined as a "legally recognized subject or national of a state or commonwealth, either native or naturalized". Seems clear to me.
I know the SCOTUS is simply asking the lower courts to do a better job for procedural reasons. That said, I'd love to see the rationale given by the 4 judges who approved the census question.

  8. Corrupt judge make America go down hill. Of course, we have to answer whether we are citizen or not, we are not even writing our name on it. Why not answer that "we are citizens".
