You're brave or not. That bear could have come through the window. Put up a bear proof feeding line (away from the house) with cable run between two tall trees on a pulley system so you can lower it to fill feeders. Friends of mine had a serious bear problem only because of feeders and this is how they solved it. It really works. I respect bears, but at the same time I am petrified of them.
