  1. … it just slides right on offa da runway
    – now, ya gotta think about that one! Here is a purportedly top 'ahem,' American News agency and network, where factual scripts, grammar, and proper diction are of paramount importance. This does include essay titling. The script stated, skidded. "Slides" indicates a completely different scenario: A plane awaiting take-off in the taxi apron of the runway, say-yy, 25. Though, the plane, while stationary, simply began to move, ever so slightly, perpendicular to its landing gear's designed line of forwarding travel. Quickly gaining momentum due to the aircraft's great mass… just slides off the taxi strip, through the airport's neatly manicured grass and right into the river…just, slides on offa da runway…no one touching it…simply, gone. Sliding off and away-yy-yy… … … sploosh!

  2. Live her bout 5 miles from where the plane was sitting, weather was terrible couldn’t see 2ft in front of you driving, had to pull over… saw 3 lightning strikes at the same time right across my field of view in a real row it was crazy never seen that before probably won’t again.

  3. Damn it if I had heard this on the news I would have driven to see it there is a huge bridge right over the St. John’s river called buck men right next to that weather was terrible last night I saw THREE lightning strikes at the same time driving down the road. I live about 5 miles from this plane in the river !! CRAZY if they had fallen out of the sky they could very well have hit my neighborhood
