  1. "So Boeing produced a dynamically unstable airframe, the 737 Max. That is big strike No. 1. Boeing then tried to mask the 737’s dynamic instability with a software system. Big strike No. 2. Finally, the software relied on systems known for their propensity to fail (angle-of-attack indicators) and did not appear to include even rudimentary provisions to cross-check the outputs of the angle-of-attack sensor against other sensors, or even the other angle-of-attack sensor. Big strike No. 3.

None of the above should have passed muster. None of the above should have passed the “OK” pencil of the most junior engineering staff, much less a DER.

That’s not a big strike. That’s a political, social, economic, and technical sin."

  2. Fine Ground it till you are sastified, Look once the sensor fail, giving false feed input of higher Angle of Attack, upon taking off, low altitude, high thrust settting depending on the High/Hot airport condition. you are basically ' Doomed' . The plane will hit the ground at high speed dont bother to find any human remains, there isnt any.. and Oh!, your loved ones whom you hv hugged at the gate earlier, most probably is still at the parking lot.
Yup, ground it or chain it whatever, till is guaranteed its not going to happen again!!!!

  3. Good move, because we landed in Houston on a 737 MAX, it took a scary an excessive amount of braking to bring the aircraft to a slower speed before turning off the runway. We were all pushed so far forward, I grabbed unto the seat ahead of me. Some overhead bins opened.

  4. Really there maybe a fix to this problem. Simple remove the full automatic function of the MCAS. Put the MCAS system into the hands of the pilots, and let the MCAS assist the pilot in a stall recovery based on his command. Put a push to operate the MCAS button somewhere in reasonable reach of the pilots, adjacent to the nose wheel tiller or somewhere there about. I would not recommend the yokes as it can be inadvertently pushed. If the system sence an approaching, instead of MCAS pushing the yoke forward; let it first announce STALL, MCAS about three or four times. This would allow the pilots to use the MCAS to assist them in recovering from the stall. If the pilots doesn't respond then let the MCAS push the nose over only once, the rest is no up to the pilots.
Pilots are well qualified and highly trained people, they are not dumb, so put the MCAS in their hands and removed the full automatic function.

Secondly the the 737 MAX needs to be properly certified
It does look like a 737 but it's not. One can also say it looks like a 707 with two engines (get the point). It's a new type of aircraft with new technology, engines and designs. It does need to go through a full and proper certification process. And as the president said, then it can be rebrand as maybe Boeing Max1, MAX 11 and MAX111.

  5. Now Boeing gotta rethink their business going forward. You can't pursue capitalism over human lives and safety. At some point, there has to be a limit. Let's see how you make the profits without people using your planes. Sad and Disappointing.

  6. Sucks that United canceled their Boeing flights, I wanted an authentic United Boeing 737 beatdown, battle royale, deathmatch over the last seat.😖 Dragging people around will never be the same…
