A football player from Edinburg High School in Texas has been charged with assault after tackling a referee during a game. Emmanuel Duron, a senior defensive tackle, had been escorted from the game for a late hit and unsportsmanlike behavior. He then ran from the sidelines and slammed into the referee.

  1. Coming here from the nyt article – after watching this I feel like sometimes you don't get a second chance. I hope this young man is able to make other options work because he does not deserve to step on a field after this. No excuse for this conduct in my book.

  2. I know that he is a kid and everyone deserves a second chance but my feelings towards this are very strong!! His punishment should be extensive and by that I mean years in prison!

  3. Probably expelled from school for this besides being charged for assault. Will end up dealing meth from some basement until he blows up the house and himself. No great loss.
