4. It is a bad idea to decriminalize it, they need to legalize it. To decriminalize you keep it in the hands of drug cartels and gangs while taking away the punishment for normal users. This only allows more profit motive for the gangs. If you legalize it that puts it into the hands of business owners who are required to regulate it for certain safety issues (such as potency, molds, they cannot lace the product with another drug, quantity bought, etc…) and gets it out of the hands of gang members and drug cartels. It is not enough to decriminalize we must legalize to get rid of the social problems created from the laws on this.
