We pulled the transmission, torque tube, and header on my cheap manual repossessed Aston Martin V8 Vantage and found exactly why it won’t run! It’s parts we’re destroyed and we’re going to have to fix it, but the price for JUST the parts are extremely expensive!!!

  1. I have learned from Samcrac that it is very important to have your head securely under a low clearance car when you are doing stuff to rock the jackstands back and forth. At least we know they survived because the video got posted.

  2. Why, why, why does this man refuse to invest in a ramp? It would make his job 100 times easier since he is constantly flipping cars. We know he can afford it.

  3. From all the clutch plates I have seen, they are worn out when they start to wear the rivets. I would get the flywheel faced at a good machine shop if there are no heat cracks in the face. Save some money. You have got off light I reckon. You will need a clutch plate, pressure plate and a throwout bearing though. I would research (ford parts for example) as you may find those bits might interchange. Get in touch with clutch specialists, they may be able to help if you give them dimensions of the bits. As your expert said, these have not much low down torque, so someone had given the clutch a flogging to show off. Good luck.

  4. I would have got the auction house to take off 10,000 dollars for me to get the transmission rebuilt, the car was only worth 12,000 dollars as-is when he bought it at auction.

  5. Maybe next project Sam, instead of buying an Aston or Ferrari – buy and install a decent car lift? Because some day your videos will stop coming and its because you were crushed under a project car!
