I Took my REPO Aston Martin to an Expert to See how Broken it is (He Found the Structural Damage)

I bought a super cheap repo Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a manual transmission from an auto auction, and on the way home I stopped at Tavarish’s workshop to get his take on whether I just got the best deal in the world or a huge mess on my hands!

  1. aston martins are faux exotics, fuck what that guy from the comments said. No one is saying they're bad per se, but I coulda told you that they're overpriced new when I was like 12. Constantly slower than the competition at every budget and has a mix of very expensive parts with some of the cheapest parts in the industry, which is why depreciation hits them hard as hell and why they don't sell as good as ferraris and lamborghinis. I would still love one in theory (v12 vantage, MAYBE rapide, any zagato's even though they have crazy prices with the same pieces of the cheaper cars, and the newest vanquish)

  2. Ah, Sam. Using CNN as your fake news target? We kind of already knew that you were a bit of a moron, but didn’t realize it went so far. Please enlighten us on which news network you follow. Most of us who actually care about accuracy in reporting do not simply turn on CNN or Fox and stick with it. We usually get out news from multiple sources. This was really unnecessary coming from a guy on an automotive channel. Of course, 90 percent of your video is comprised of you talking about repairs, but not actually doing any work. The fake news piece was a bit heavy handed. Stick to what you know.

  3. Hi lads, I'm glad you took your mates car for a run to see a real world look at one driving & I have to say I'm pretty dissapointed at the sound of the throttle response of such an expensive car. My comparison is of my old 1978 mildly worked FORD Cortina with a 250 X flow ironhead (yes it's a girls car but it gave many a man a very big scare being a sleeper) in it could literately lift it's left front wheel off the ground in an instant reaction to full throttle if you stomped it's throttle but all computer controlled cars even the mega expensive ones like this it seems still sound like Fluffy Pillows with their throttle response ( off the planet emission control) & I know what causes this too ( no throttle pump). Although after half an hour of your foot being on the floor and your car wakes up and actually gets moving it sounds quite good. Anyway it was good to see a high end car in the real world being driven to confirm OLD SCHOOL is still the BEST. Interesting vid by the way.

  4. Right off the bat I can tell you the glue was "regular"…"standard" contact cement that upholstery shops use. However, they didn't use the "HIGH TEMP" VERSION. This is necessary for any areas subjected to the Sun or extreme heat. Or, if the upholsterer didn't do the job properly, the glue would not hold. There's a right way and a wrong to do this kind of work. Keep in mind that an Aston Martin is simple sheet metal designed around "The Golden Rectangle" principle which means the proportions are pleasing to the eye. The rest of the car is essentially garbage. There isn't one quality part that goes into the makeup of this machine. What you are buying is a very pleasing looking car that is crap and you're paying $200,000 or more in some cases. And, lastly….when you buy one of these cars….you're not Sean Connery, you're an owner of a car that will cost you a lot of money in repairs.

  5. Way to take the one thing, cars videos, and ruin them with politics. 🤣 you’ve always been annoying, but that’s just an impressive accomplishment.

  6. I'm getting tired of this camera man/ angle.. It comes across really rubbish and puts me off watching these videos. Please upgrade the mic (from last episode) and some good old fashioned camera/ video training! Love the content but the quality of videos is bad…

  7. Sam's kinda like the Adam Sandler of car YouTube. Mostly boring, but knows enough interesting people that I occasionally watch when they guest star.
