23. This behavior begins in schools around the country. Depending on the environment as young as 13 yes old. My daughter's who are now young adults both experienced overt sexual harassment in Highschool. Behaviors include daily physical touching walking down the hall, boys making loud comments regarding breast size, "you look like a crack haw", etc,etc. I had a long conversation w/the Dean of Student. He acted as if this was a surprise. I asked Junior & Senior males at their school why this is aloud? They basically told me it is so prevelant that the school basically gave up trying to control or stop the behaviors. From my view point obviously this is learned behavior. Young males are taught by their peers & social acceptance that regardless of the rules of conduct there are no consequences. This continues into college & then adulthood. Not only in intimate relationships but very much so in the workplace. My daughter's are both now reporting sexual inappropriate behavior by coworkers & much older male superiors at their part-time jobs now that they are in college. The "me too" movement sad to say is just words on paper in a workplace conduct policy in the largest corporate jobs in the country. Harassment, threats & stalking; also know as "mobbing" has escalated NOT decreased! Human resource personal acting as asset liability specialist protecting the company from lawsuits. The hypocrisy is mind numbing!!!
