If you got people waiting years to get a visa, why would anyone reasonably believe thousands of people are going to be processed within a week, or even a month? Nation-wide that’s possible, but immigrations personnel are already busy with routine applicants, they practically have a skeleton crew handling the Haitian immigrants. Filling out the paperwork alone, even if every man, woman and child all had a clipboard, required documents, and pens all at the same time, you would BARELY be able to finish that within a week. Then all of the paperwork has to be collected and processed. And during processing, they have to verify each and every one of those applications with the same level of scrutiny they give to routine visa applications. This process alone takes months. Assuming they finish ALL of that, now they have to find a way to contact individual families within that gagglefuck of a mass encampment to notify them of right to entry.
To give you some basis for this, my Japanese wife got an “expedited” visa that took 3 months. The routine process is 18 months. There’s no way in hell that 9-5 government employees are handling this in a timely manner. OR – they’re haphazardly conducting the visa audits, which poses its own security concerns 🤦♂️
