  1. Whitney grew up in a big beautiful house with a swimming pool in East Orange New Jersey (which was a really nice suburb back in the 60s and 70s, but went downhill from the mid 80's onwards).

She was born in Newark but she was out of there by the time she was 5! Don't let the media fool you!

Yes Whitney understood the streets, but she was not raised there. She was fairly priveleged (albeit bullied) and sheltered growing up (which sadly I think contributed to her difficulty in handling the harder parts of her life).

Remember her mother was a renowned background singer and her 1st cousin is Dionne living legend Warwick. Who btw, took Whitney on your with her every summer when she was a little girl.

Whitney also went to private school in Caldwell and travelled the world as a child and teenager before anyone knew her name.

We all have our struggles… it's just devastating how her (and subsequently her daughter's) story ended.

  2. I will always remember whitney for her contributions to the music industry globally; her charitable contributions to humanity that she never once publicised; her selflessness that contributed to her running herself into the ground as well. All of what this woman left here by far outweighs her personal struggles. She gave good love and she gave us everything she had.

  3. Miss Whitney "THE VOICE" Houston was, is and will always be remembered as The Greatest Female Vocalist Of All Time. 🙏

  4. Bobby wasn’t Whitney downfall. Whitney was her own downfall. They both was toxic Beyond all of that she was and STILL IS the greatest ever created. 💜

  5. I will never except that she drowned because i think theres so much more too her death live on in heaven Whitney Houston 👸🏽❤️

  6. Why are these people still talking about Whitney?! and it's all the people I don't care to hear from like so called church guy Bebe Winans who likes to gossip. He's the guy who spread rumors about Whitney supposedly not getting along with Mariah. Despicable! Not to mention Kenny Edmonds who exploits black new artists. Terrible people all round.
