  1. Let's all be honest.. Her biggest critics are bigots who have resentment towards African Americans that are more successful and talented than they will ever be… Some of the idiot comments below underscore this assessment.

  2. All these couch potatoes out here calling her a snowflake or a disgrace, when in a reality, it takes a lot of guts to put yourself first and admit you’re not okay. This holds especially true for a sport like gymnastics. An off day doesn’t equate missed swings or lost points, it could result in a snapped neck or other serious injury. That isn’t something to be taken lightly.

Being able to tell your country you need to focus on you takes far more than ‘sucking it up’ and dragging the rest of the team down with you. Ms. Biles has shown a courage we’ve rarely ever seen and is getting spit on for it. She has my utmost respect.

  3. In our short span of life there are some people who gain fame and favor by excelling in a sport or craft with meticulous effort and dedication. They selflessly take pride in representing something much larger than their ego ,and with them goes success and achievement. And yet there are others who are shallow in depth of intellect and deficient in character and lacking any calculatable sense of integrity. History will remember only those that gave their all their utmost best and only those that bared their soul and held nothing back so that their mere existence in that small space in time would have a monumental and lasting mark on our countries record of greatness. But this one will leave no trace in sports history ,this member of the me me generation of self pity ,attention seeking arrogance and self admiration with no regard for country and allegiance is beyond the pale of deceit and self indulgence, who is destined to be forgotten in the worlds annals of competitive sports history.

  4. so glad she only got bronze. and lost to two patriotic chinese gymnasts. the best case is if she fell flat on her face during the routine but hey you can't always get what you wish for

  5. Simole Biles is great. (It’s not about disrespecting our flag. She wasn’t feeling well.) Anyone who says it’s honoring or dishonoring our flag, doesn’t have any idea what it is like to not feel balanced as a competitor. She didn’t want to be injured. When she lifts off and falls, you can imagine the impact! Be patient! Be well! Honor Simone! She’s okay! Hallelujah!🛋🎀🎈🧸🎊

  6. I just heard her aunt had passed, and with the stressors of her brother's murder case, the distance from family, Tokyo's Covid-19 situation while she's there— just too much. I am not surprised it was such a stressful week/month for her. So proud of her for competing at all.
