  1. The male gaze? Men don't watch gymnastics. That's like figure skaters taking a stance against sexist uniforms. Like Gymnastics, Figure Skating is watched by women! If someone needs to take a stance against the so-called Male Gaze, it should be female beach volleyball players. It's like those "uniforms" were designed by Hooters.

  2. Let me explain something to you and please pass it on to your friends: No one can afford the 200,000 + – 500,000 + homes they are building now.
People weren't working for almost a whole year remember ? And places they worked were closed, are recently reopening.
They had to spend whatever money they had saved to live, and they have not had time to save more for the 20% deposit.
No one is renting because people are not moving, and some people are in dire situations.
What do you want everyone living in the streets ?

  3. As athletes compete under the duress of Covid, I'm really sorry to say that I cringe every time I see an athlete from China – as that's the country that has put us in this situation.

  4. The pagentry and over-blown, media-created hypes / backstories are too much (IMHO) , especially after this year. Can't even watch …
I admire the athletes though and hope they will all excel.

  5. I feel bad for the athletes. Imagine devoting years of your life training to make an Olympics that has no fans in the stands and very little social interaction. A city in lockdown. No partying. None of the famous after-event libertine sex (😭). Oh, and in a country that can't wait for you to leave. If you only go once it's like you never really went. That's gotta SUCK.
