A promod at a half mile is something you never see! They obviously aren’t meant for half mile passes, but this man has the stones to pilot it down the airstrip! These were the sketchiest passes we’ve seen at an event like this, but over the course of the weekend they really got the hang of it! Now they’ve got the half mile bug!

  2. I agree that was way over Sketchy for traction @196 mph! He was balls deep in that Drive! That is Crazy! And he wins the RWD COMP! Man Your So SICK! Can't wait to see what this does when you get it dialed in!

  3. That's some crazy stuff! With highway gears in the rear and it's still breaking the tires lose well past mid track! That's some serious power when you can do that! Especially with the tires on the back of this vett, one would think it be impossible to spin at those speeds? Wow!

  4. I'm curious what rear gear they normally run when they race? Geez, it's not uncommon to see Pro Mods go faster in the 1/8th with a way shorter gear in it… Admittedly, most are probably pulling another 2000 – 2500RPM than 7500 though

  5. That's funny to me. My dad and his buddies raced their BB/GD's on airports back in the 50's & 60's before they built New England Dragway. They ran at Sanford, ME regularly & none of the tracks back then had traction compound that I'm aware of, even into the 80's.

  6. I'm just guessing but what if he put taller gear in wouldn't it help from spinning as bad and could go faster but I'm no drag racer so I'm just guessing don't really know does anyone know if that would really work??
