1. Honestly, skateboarding shouldn't be an Olympic sport. That's why they have the X Games, right? I know that the winter Olympics has snowboarding, but that should be an X Games sport as well. The reason I'm saying this is because there are already SO many events and these seem to be extraneous events that don't need to be part of these games. Maybe growing up in the 70s and 80s has made me biased and I'm sure I'll catch Hell from younger people here for saying this, but does anyone agree with me on this?

35. Simone Biles now joins the ranks of figure skater Gracie Gold with her mental issues and elite sports. It is just too bad Biles unraveled so close to the finish line. All of the work and making it through training another year after the Olympics were pushed back a year. I also feel bad for MyKayla Skinner who wanted a spot on the team so much after being an alternate in 2016. If only Simone would have decided not to compete at all earlier, Mykayla may have had a shot at her dream. It is just all too bad. I also wonder if Simone will still be able to handle the GOAT tour. A lot of people must be counting on her financially for this also. She is like those singers with the big tours supplying jobs for so many. I wonder if it will be cancelled if she needs to continue her recovery from her mental issues. I wish them all the best.
