  1. I wouldn’t call them pristine beach’s, more like flatulent, underwhelming. Italy has pristine beach. This is coming from a Californian, glad I got out

  2. we are already warming the ocean up way to much, we are messing with the acidity of the ocean, and we are polluting the ocean like never before. Phytoplankton are the base of the food chain, if they die, everything in the ocean up the chain will die. there wont be anymore life in the entire ocean. millions of people rely on the ocean to survive. The pH levels of the oceans have already dropped significantly and a further drop is expected by the 2100's . According to a team of researchers from MIT, this is having multiple negative impacts on the phytoplankton. Many species are expected to become extinct while some will have to migrate.

  3. What they don't say is the leak was caused by one of the many ships that are waiting to be offloaded, thanks to truck drivers not being allowed to work because of planned oppressive government foolish restrictions.
BLAME JOE BIDEN FOR THIS DISASTER. IT'S CAN BE TRACED DIRECTLY TO ONE OF HIS MANY COVID-19 MANIPULATIONS!

  4. a 30 ton anchor did not do the damage. it would be completely crushed and mutilated and torn from the platform. if an anchor did the damage it would have had to be a much much smaller vessel. surprised I haven't heard it's trumps fault yet…

  5. There was two off shore earthquake the same day this happened. Could be the ground shifting. I mean one of those huge anchors would have completely destroyed that pipeline.

  6. Quit trying to deflect blame. If an oil company has a pipe sitting on the ocean floor (or anywhere else) and that pipe leaks oil, it's the oil company's fault. Period.

  7. It's my understanding this is a no anchor zone which is clearly marked on the charts. At this depth if it was an anchor zone the pipeline would be buried almost 10 ft below the sea floor.

  8. WHAT a joke.
40 year pipes? Inspection? Repair? Who's responsible?

NO one thinks anchors will ever damage it?

A disaster waiting to happen one fine day. And its-'s now.

  9. You can bet they are going to check that pipeline for corrosion and wall thickness. We know an anchor could rip through and pull a pipeline that has poor integrity due to corrosion. Investigations like this just take time, the final documentation could take as long as a year.

  10. The chickens have finally come home. When they allowed for oil wells off the coast they should have assumed this would happen it was only a matter of time. Not the first and not the last.
