Most of the food eaten in the US is grown in California, that's a big problem to national security. We need a much more diversified farming in the US. The Mississippi Ohio and Missouri have excellent farmland, and they will never ever run out of water. They're not positioned along the coast where an enemy or foreign invader could destroy easily our food supply.
The Colorado River is one of the smallest Rivers there is in the United States and one in 10 Americans live off of it that's far too much, compare the flow rate to other rivers.

While wildfire is a natural and important part of the forest ecosystem, when it encroaches on human dwellings it can have disastrous effects. Estimates of the death toll run from 200 to 500 people. The area’s timber trade was crippled for many years, but the fire actually spurred development of logging elsewhere in British North America.
The Great Fire of 1919 burned up 5 million acres of land in western Canada, with the fire starting north of the city of Edmonton. Wood that been cut for the timber industry contributed to the quick-burning flames of the massive inferno. The fires were responsible for hundreds of people losing its home, as well as the deaths of at least 11 people. Scientists have pointed out that the nature of the widespread boreal forest may make this area especially prone to wild fires. In Victoria, Australia on January 13th, 1939, bush-fires were spurred on by drought conditions and heavy winds to create what came to be called the Black Friday Bushfire. Around five million acres were burned and seventy-one people lost their lives along with the destruction of entire townships. Soil fertility and water reserves were also negatively affected..
Northern Ontario has been struck by several disastrous forest fires. In July 1911, for example, a wildfire struck Cochrane and the surrounding area, killing at least 73 people. A few years later, on 29 July 1916, the region again suffered from forest fire, this time in even more disastrous proportions: the Matheson fire resulted from small blazes started by lightning and locomotive sparks that combined into a firestorm. A wall of flames struck Cochrane, Matheson and environs, burning both towns and killing at least 228.

Measuring ocean height from 830 miles up while trying to maintain a stable orbit to the mm and averaging land and ocean height is a very challenging proposition while having to adjust orbit height at least 4 times a year due to solar activity and reaultant drag from the atmosphere and having to do so every 4 to 5 weeks during high solar activity sounds almost like wishful thinking.

The Biden administration is currently working on an infrastructure package and I believe it should set up a US Gov't laboratory whose mission is to solve the climate change problem, given a $10B/yr budget. This money could be used to:
• Develop factories that mass produce equipment that makes green hydrogen gas (H2), and green liquid ammonia (NH3).
• Develop factories that mass produce generation 4 nuclear reactors, and automate the construction of nuclear reactor buildings.
The $10B/yr initiative automates, to the extent required, to make green energy cheaper than carbon-based fuels. This gets us worldwide decarbonization, since customers will buy green to save money. And this gets us capital market participation, which means banks and bond markets will pay for green energy power stations, and factories that supply them. Economic principles state that customers favor lowest cost products, and capital markets follow customers.
