  1. I went to grade school, middle school, and high school with his older relatives. We love one another here in Brunswick County. Yes, we have our share of crime, and yes we sometimes have strife and struggles…but remember this America…..Brunswick County North Carolina will always love you too.

  2. I live in Brunswick County, NC from which Dr. Gause was born and raised. There's a lot of fine local people here and just the other day I had said I wished I had grown up here. God bless Dr. Gause and his family, especially his Mama.

  4. It is a shame we didnt get more black people into the complex mix of mexican miscegenation, which is composed mainly by spaniard (white occidental) and indigenous people (there are several diversity depending on the geography). A little black and beautiful community is only at the south west and that is only because some ships ran aground several years ago and that population remained there and they have been very important in terms of music and rythms they transmited into the beautiful musical diversity of folk music in Mexico. I wish we could have more of that talent for the music, the spirit and all the magic that is inside our brothers of the eternal gospel. Greetings from Mexico and you are very lucky to have them in the USA.

  5. Thank you, Principal Gause, for being a great example to our young people. I am a graduate of TWA–Class of '87. Thank you, ABC News for covering this story!

  6. He gave them a precious memory that many others may never encounter…
When they face fear and doubt in their lives, may these students remember the words and melody and sight of "li'l old me" who stood up and delivered in spite of his nervousness and fear. His wish is that the memory will give them the grace and courage to do the same.

  7. Its crazy how no matter whats the highlighted story and how beautifully wholesome and heartwarming it is…theres ALWAYS some people hitting dislike. Its so hilarious and confusing, I really want to know who these people are😂

  8. Now THAT'S A Send off!!!
A Memory that is sure to last a Lifetime.
