  1. Isn’t it odd that we don’t see those in the middle or upper economic classes, who can pay their bills, feed their children, and are happy with their jobs, out running around shooting people and robbing stores?

Obviously not all people are violent criminals. So why are some people, usually those in the lower economic classes, choosing to resort to violent behavior?

Addressing the problem by throwing more cops on the street is just suppression, not resolution. Any responsible adult would address the root cause of violent behavior, not just suppress it. C

  2. ABC NEWS – ALL THESE DEATHS AND VIOLENCE HAPPENING THROUGH OUT OUR ENTIRE COUNTRY WERE COMPLETELY SUPPORTED BY YOU. YOU ATTACKED TRUMP WHO WAS ESTABLISHING ORDER IN OUR COUNTRY TO SUPPORT THE SOCIALIST DEMOCRATIC PARTY WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IN LAW AND ORDER. YOUR STATION SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ALL THE DIVISION THAT YOU CREATED AMONG US THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND THE SUPPORT OF THE CORRUPTION DONE BY THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. HIPOCRATES…

  3. Now wait a minute. I thought once the “Big Guy” was placed in office, this nonsense was supposed to stop…? He was supposed to end violence, cure disease, stop storms and bring unity to human kind…?

Could the mainstream media have lied…?

  4. It is the consequence of donkey party's defund/defunc policing and appeasement to the leftist criminal groups. Then, they used it as an argument/excuse to deprive the peaceful-minded people of the right to have the guns, and as the first step for the donkey party to pave their way to become CCP-alike one-party dictatorship. So, check out these gun criminals' background. I can guarantee you that over 90% of them are the supporters or affiliated to the donkey party. Wake up Americans, defunc/defund the donkey party is the first step to reign in gun violence.

  5. hello an italian here. I would like to try to illustrate an external point of view. The relationship of the United States with weapons is something that is frightening. It scared me when all the newspapers talked about how the Americans ran to buy weapons when the pandemic began (in Italy everyone was buying flour and yeast :)).
I get scared every time I hear the news of mass shootings and the answer is to go buy guns or hear politicians saying teachers should have guns in the classroom. It scares me and saddens me when in the world children at school have to learn how to behave in the event of an earthquake or fire but in the US they have to learn how to defend themselves if a gunman enters. I get scared when I see that there are schools that have metal detectors at the entrance. I get scared every time I go to the United States because I don't know if the people around me have guns with them. I get scared when I read the laws and I see that it is not difficult at all to buy a weapon in certain states. I get scared when I walk into a supermarket and there is a gun section, all in plain sight. I get scared when I hear of children killing themselves because they take their dad's gun from the drawer and play with it. I get scared when I see your police have army guns.
This is to make you understand how things that perhaps you now find as normal daily life from an external point of view create fear and terror of a country that should, according to some, be an example.

  6. Violence Hurts Us All

WHO has not been affected by violence? We see it constantly in news reports. We fear it on the streets and at work, and children face it from bullies at school. Even at home, where people usually feel secure behind locked doors, millions—especially women—feel unsafe. In fact, depending on the country, up to 70 percent of women report that they have been assaulted by an intimate partner.

In many countries, people fear violent political or social uprisings or even terrorism. These fears are reflected in the increased level of electronic surveillance evident in some lands, especially those that have been a target of terrorism.

Understandably, the video-surveillance industry is booming—despite the global economic downturn. Who pays for all of this? Ultimately, we do, in the form of taxes and other fees. And such costs may well increase as security measures become more invasive, pervasive, and expensive.

The disturbing effects of violence should make us reflect on ourselves—our ethics and our beliefs. The following articles will consider these questions: What part does the media play in the spread of violence? What factors can influence our attitude toward violence? How can we protect ourselves from negative influences?

  7. When you make a career criminal George Floyd your hero and invoke on defunding the police for a year, this is a logical outcome you get.

  8. 160 businesses have left Seattle. Since March. Renters moving out is up by 15%. Over 6000 homeowners have left in 2020. Statement for “FenceyHen”

  9. Funny that more people in this comment section are rushing to defend guns rather than express any concern at all for dead children. This news is tragic every loss of life is.

  10. They defunded the police, eliminated bail for most offenders, eliminated Stop & Frisk, made the most restrictive gun laws in America (which only affect law-abiding citizens) and even released criminals last year due to COVID-19 affecting prison overcrowding and NOW people in New York are surprised by all the gun violence?!?

  11. I see the truth hurts, especially your ignorant, liberals, American hating black lives matter criminals, and all inner city dems , in crime infested cities. Minor or adults, kill some one, enforce the death penalty. No more excuses, I come from broken home, I was force to listen to , barry manilow music for 5 hours a day, while being locked in a closet . From a black conservative!!!

  12. Defund the police. Trust me, it will work out great. Refuse to identify the perpetrators because of political pressure. Great idea. And finally…refuse to prosecute and incarcerate violent criminals. We're on a roll here.

  13. Anyone notice that the vast majority of these locations are crime-ridden and extremely difficult to acquire legal firearms in? It's sad how the information is manipulated and does not show how much of the violence is committed with illegal firearms and due to gang activity. An armed society is a polite society. Why do these places refuse to let citizens arm and defend themselves?

Remember, according to the CDC, there are between 10,000 and 20,000 misuses of firearms every year (these include accidental discharges, murders, suicides, unlawful discharges with not casualties, etc) and there are between 500,000 and 3,000,000 lawful uses of firearms to stop or prevent crimes, often without ever firing a bullet, merely by brandishing the weapon. Gun free zones and cities that inhibit or prevent firearm ownership are the most affected by gun violence because criminals don't care about illegally obtained and using them, and seek out places (like gun free zones) to wreak havoc because they know there will be little to no resistance.

Wake up, people. Guns aren't the problem; criminals, abuse of drugs and alcohol (50% of murderers/murder victims are under the influence of alcohol) and mental health issues are.

  14. Gun violence just happens to "erupt" all by itself and it has nothing to do with bought and paid for local and federal authorities dumping criminals out into the street to terrorize citizens. This is an old trick used in countries during the past to agitate the appearance of revolution.
