  1. There isn't a good argument FOR qualified immunity. The judicial branch is supposed to enforce the laws that the legislative branch comes up with, not make laws on it's own or interpret laws. The judicial branches job is to apply laws as written, not decide intent without talking to the creators.

  2. Qualified immunity just allows animals with badges to attack 70-year-old men and knock them to the ground and tear up their shoulders put them in the hospital and then charge them with made up crimes. Nothing but liars and criminals.

  3. When I was a young man there was no such thing as qualified immunity and the police back then were far better than they are today. The police today lie cheat and steal and get away with it.

  4. This is exactly why they need to be sued they do what they want because they won’t get charged… Police use this as an excuse… The people will not be in danger… The people are in more danger with police qualify immunity…

  5. "second guessing" you do you're job RIGHT & by the book then you should not have a problems,

(qualified immunity was dreamed up by the courts NOT the government, courts don't make LAWs)

  6. OK. I talked to a hayseed cop and did some research on "qualified Immunity" and found out that police officers could use it as a defense in intentional criminal activity by an officer. NYC didn't have that, What NYPD has is "Indemnification", meaning that if you follow a policy, rule, or regulation, in good faith (or by mistake), and the, rule, regulation as most major departments don't pass Judicial muster, the officer is not financially liable for any lawsuit. Meaning that. What I have found out is that "qualified Immunity has been used, to justify on and off duty cops to justify, Rape, assault, and robbery. Any victim of those offenses would be paid out on any lawsuit in an indemnification lawsuit, or be dismissed (these are State interpretations, not Federal). But maggot cops use Qualified Immunity as a defense for criminality. I can't believe any state, except fly over states, allows that. It's mainly for prosecutors, that suppress exculpatory, evidence, who don't provide full discovery and get caught, after getting a death sentence or life for the defendant because I guess lawyers are supposed to lie. Those are the people that should lose All Qualified Immunity. When I was resigning from NYC, to go to a Suburban department one of my bosses told me that the highly paid department that required a college degree I was going to, that made me the offer, "You know they don't have, indemnification out there, they have "qualified indemnification" meaning if they decided you fucked up, they won't pay your part of the lawsuit" You can make boss over here easy. I said so it will be much better. Fewer assholes to work with." I guess that's why 10 years after retirement I still get people from my beat calling me to ask how I'm doing".

  7. “ they don’t know if this man has dynamite strap to his chest…”

Yeah because his ID will tell the police officers that… these lawyers are something else.

  8. Police need to carry their own insurance for the first 25-50 thousand dollars of ANY lawsuit.
Bad cops will eventually get dropped from their insurance companies. No insurance = No job.
    Problem solved.

  9. Death of damn lie police officers are already practice that restraint when it deals with suspects that have little hands like they do, the only time they don't practice good policing is when little Hancock's deal with unarmed big hand man unless it's a female cop they seem to have more guts I guess then the little hand man cop

  10. if no crimes no cops , people has to fear to walk on streets and go about their every day lives , only nonsense happening, America is not third a world but many made it worst than that

  11. There is no such thing as 'qualified immunity', its a made up term by these idiot fascist liberal scum in America who want crime to increase.
There are sociopaths across the US being spearheaded by these idiot liberal millenial/zoomers and their baby boomer enablers.

  12. They are a fing gang assulting us stealing our money even murder
Police need to go to jail for crimes just like us. How about charges when they lie on reports the blue line flag is an gang symbol

  13. Qualifying Immunity just allows Racist cops to keep joining the police force in order to get away with Murdering Black People! Lets Stop pretending like white people don't know this. That's why they are fighting so hard to keep it! How could you justify allowing cops to use excessive force and or Murdering Human beings!

  14. Obviously not all cases are the same, but does this new law imply now that if there’s someone on a mass shooting, the police now have to give a verbal warning?

  15. Extremism in the police and military ranks maybe why US troops are still stationed in Germany?

Are they writing travel logs? Learning to be Nazis? Elvis was stationed there 60 years ago.

How much has the US spent on the 76 years extremist training holiday since GI Blues?

Let's hope the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act is followed through.

  16. Man…these comments are great. If it’s so easy to get hired and any dumb person can be a cop, why don’t you guys do it and be the change you want to see? Oh, because you have no balls.

  17. The solution is not to end qualified immunity. It is to make it easier to sue police departments. Once that happens the leadership will hold these guys accountable.
