States that do not follow the latest CDC guidelines have proven to be anti-science. For example, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that mask mandates will be lifted on June 15, as if all the coronaviruses will get up and leave on that day. These governors and their science goon squads have shown their true colors–it's all about control, rather than "follow the science." Hypocrites.

Former U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") chief Dr. Scott Gottlieb said the U.S. may no longer need masks within the next few weeks…
In an interview with CNBC's "Squawk Box" on Monday, Gottlieb noted the number of COVID-19 cases will likely fall drastically in June. He also said this will likely reduce overall fear of the virus, resulting in a major decline in mask-wearing as well.
Last week, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ("CDC") updated its mask guidelines. The agency said that fully vaccinated people can stop wearing masks and return to their normal routines.
President Joe Biden said Americans should continue to wear masks until they're fully vaccinated. And the CDC recommends unvaccinated people continue to wear masks unless they're outside with fully vaccinated people or members of their household.
Dr. Gottlieb noted that comments from the CDC and the president should help incentivize those who were previously vaccine-hesitant. He added that many people who want to go maskless were already not wearing masks. This new guidance gives them a clear avenue for no longer being required to wear masks. As a result, it could accelerate the country's pace of inoculation.
Along with warmer weather and an already strong vaccine campaign, these new rules have many health experts confident that we could hit herd immunity within the next two months. That's why President Biden updated his goal to 70% of adults fully vaccinated by July.
As we near herd immunity, we could see a major rebound in economic activity by the second half of the year. With fewer public restrictions, consumers may become more comfortable going out and spending at retail locations, restaurants, and within the travel industry.
