    Please allow me to correct the record.
    Throughout the History of the Palestine Israel conflict Fighting has occurred with both sides pointing the finger at each other blaming the other for being the cause of the conflict. Former Israeli defense minister and General Moshe Dyan made an interesting admission, “"at least 80 percent" of two decades of border clashes were initiated by Israel.” We would send a tractor to plow some [disputed] area . . . and we knew in advance that the Syrians would start to shoot. If they didn't shoot, we would tell the tractor to advance further, until in the end the Syrians would get annoyed and shoot. And then we would use artillery and later the air force also, and that's how it was."
    The claim to the press and the public was that Israel had the right to defend itself.
    At the time at the start of the Six day war Israel announced that it made a pre-emptive strike due to Arab military build ups near the border. To be clear the first shots fired were by Israel the only troops to cross any borders were Israeli troops entering Arab lands. The only borders that were expanded were Israel’s borders. Despite UN Security 242

    Expressing its continuing concern with the grave situation in the Middle East,

    Emphasizing the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war and the need to work for a just and lasting peace in which every State in the area can live in security,

    Emphasizing further that all Member States in their acceptance of the Charter of the United Nations have undertaken a commitment to act in accordance with Article 2 of the Charter,

    1. Affirms that the fulfilment of Charter principles requires the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East which should include the application of both the following principles:

    (i) Withdrawal of Israel armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict;

    (ii) Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force;

    2. Affirms further the necessity

    (a) For guaranteeing freedom of navigation through international waterways in the area;

    (b) For achieving a just settlement of the refugee problem;

    (c) For guaranteeing the territorial inviolability and political independence of every State in the area, through measures including the establishment of demilitarized zones;

    3. Requests the Secretary-General to designate a Special Representative to proceed to the Middle East to establish and maintain contacts with the States concerned in order to promote agreement and assist efforts to achieve a peaceful and accepted settlement in accordance with the provisions and principles in this resolution;

    4. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Security Council on the progress of the efforts of the Special Representative as soon as possible.
    Can we all agree on this; Israeli in annexing the Golan Heights and using its military power to maintain control of the occupied territories is not acting in self defense. It is perpetuation a land grab.
    Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states: “The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.” It also prohibits the “individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory”.
    As the occupier, Israel is therefore forbidden from using state land and natural resources for purposes other than military or security needs or for the benefit of the local population. The unlawful appropriation of property by an occupying power amounts to “pillage”, which is prohibited by both the Hague Regulations and Fourth Geneva Convention and is a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and many national laws.
    Israel’s building of settlements in the West Bank, including in East Jerusalem, does not respect any of these rules and exceptions. Transferring the occupying power’s civilians into the occupied territory is prohibited without exception. Furthermore, as explained earlier, the settlements and associated infrastructure are not temporary, do not benefit Palestinians and do not serve the legitimate security needs of the occupying power. Settlements entirely depend on the large-scale appropriation and/or destruction of Palestinian private and state property which are not militarily necessary. They are created with the sole purpose of permanently establishing Jewish Israelis on occupied land.( Quotation from amnesty international website)
    In the current context we see Israel intending to expand its illegal settlements by creating a new round of evictions. Which as you see above amnesty international considers as a war crime. The question that needs to be asked here is whether or not a people have the right to defend themselves from the illegal actions of an occupying power. If the Answer is yes then the Palestinian have that right. Hamas is therefore not acting as an aggressor but trying to stop the illegal actions of an occupier.

  14. I was going to cry when I read this SPEECH from the PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEL Benjamin Netanyahu, but at the end I said, "Glory be to the God of Israel"

    🔵 we make the desert bloom, and sell oranges, flowers and vegetables all over the world.

    🔵 Israel has sent its own satellites into space!

    🔵 three satellites at the same time!
    🔵 We are proud to be at the same rank as:
    🔵 The United States, which has 250 million inhabitants,
    🔵 Russia, which has 200 million inhabitants,
    🔵 China, which has 1.3 billion inhabitants;
    🔵 Europeans – France, Great Britain, Germany – with 350 million inhabitants.
    🔵 the only countries in the world to send objects into space!

    🔵 and say that only 60 years ago,
    🔵 we were led, ashamed and hopeless, to slaughter!

    Some claim our morale is low.

    Only because we mourn our deaths while our enemies rejoice in the blood shed & war.

  44. Of the over a thousand rockets which have entered the Israeli boarder since Monday about 90 percent were shot down by Israel’s anti-missal defense system. And of the remaining 10 percent there were under ten casualties on the Israeli side as of last night. As to how the conflict will resolve, I can not quite say as it seems that there are a few overlapping issues. Including massive civil unrest amongst Arabs and Israelis within the country. This is an issue especially as the Israeli government is not so stable presently.

    Fortunately, the nation has a sting back bone and will be ok.
