  1. There are zero good parents that do heroin or drink. The grandma needs to be commended for stepping up and speaking the truth. But she needs to cut the daughter off.

  2. Man…. what happened to her face? What's the story on that? I really have always felt for people with disfigurement/scarring/serious disability…. most of us commenting here with really harsh words I can bet look average at the least, don't have half their face disfigured…. I hope she got help because my heart also hurts for her son….

  3. That mom has gone to Alanon…."I gave her a reason, and now she gets to use, and it will be my fault" anyone that doesn't know how to deal with an addiction that is actively using, that's it in a nutshell. Strong support that mom is…direct, realistic, to the point, but it's with love cuz she's still trying.

  4. i been an alcoholic from the first minute i took a drink at 14. i wish i was dead every second since i knew it. i am 63, i understand katie. alcohol is the king it owns addicts like me

  5. Her mother raised her and now shes making her mother raise her son. There is nothing worse that you can do to your parents. The actual worst. So selfish.

  6. I broke up with an addict because he picked his addiction over his children. I was young and stupid, but I realized how ignorant and naive I was being. I couldn't help him, his children deserved better and honestly so did I.

  7. I lived with my mom and she was doing heroin and I was miserable and scared and I'm glad she got better, no kid wants to see their mom on heroin passed out nodding on and off all day

  8. What a brat. Leave her to it she's been babied her whole life it's time for her to face her consequences with no protection from her parents which she clearly rely on.

  9. My sister died of alcoholism at 54 y.o. she actually liked rehab because she wasn’t alone and it kept her safe from her. When she got out she would be drinking in a week. She wouldn’t go to sober living only home. Addiction like this is so sad. Now she is with our parents and out of pain…………..

  10. People wonder how and why homeless junkies are on the street ? This is how, it starts off like in the video of a loving family member or members trying to help. The junkie refuses help, and continues to use. Time goes by and the junkie picks up several felony drug charges, prostitution charges, etc. Later, the very family that supported you starts dying off, or has given up on you. Now the junkie is not welcomed in the home and they now live on the street begging for change to support their habit, and to eat. In many cases the junkie loses their mind to mental illness, stops bathing, and wears clothing that is filthy. Next time you see a homeless person on the streets remember their is a story behind their homelessness that took years in the making.

  11. I feel sorry for her. She is clearly miserable. She hates her life, and the situation she knows she has put herself in. She also probably hates the way she looks because of her scarring. I really hope she can turn things around, and also give her mother credit for stepping in and taking care of her son when she wasn't able to due to poor choices.
