Snow threatens rush hour commutes across Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast: The latest forecast
Over 1,150 flights have been canceled Wednesday — many in the Washington, D.C., area — as a winter storm moves through the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and eventually the Northeast.
Schools in Baltimore, Philadelphia and Omaha are all closed for the day and federal offices in D.C. are shuttered.

Damn, the thumbnail tricked me into thinking that this was in Canada 🇨🇦 lol.. I mean, up north here in Canada, especially where I live (Manitoba, one of the colder provinces in Canada, located above Minnesota 🇺🇸), we always get -30C (usually below with the wind chill) temperatures (have no idea what that is in Fahrenheit) every winter, and 30cm of snow in one night 😂. There’s no such thing as a “snow day” here. People to to school or work even when it’s -30C and even if it snowed like 30cm overnight. Thanks to all those snow plowing cars 🙏
Then there’s British Columbia (BC, west coast 🇨🇦) where it hardly ever snows in the winter (this year’s been an exception!), and people start panicking as soon as the temperature hits 0 degrees Celsius haha.
Funny thing is, yeah, the temperature dips down to -40C in the winter here in Manitoba but it goes up to +30 (or above) degrees Celsius in the summer here in MB!!! 😮 Idk how that’s possible but it happens every year LOL
