    Well, today he was showing his Republican successor around the governor’s mansion. He had to desperately campaign for Terri McOlive to keep the governorship in the family. He had to watch the returns as his legacy & ideology was rejected by Virginians. While crying.

  2. Has anyone ever considered that a man with blackface and another dresses as a clansman standing next to each other posing for a photo probably signifies peace and understanding amongst former adversaries? Instead of criticism, maybe we should give Northam a peace prize.
    Will people please get over blackface?! Just don't use it to degrade blacks anymore. Do we ban suits because Hitler used to wear one? Do we ban bowl hair cuts since Dylann Roof has one? No!

  3. I grew up inside a very racist family-but also inside a very integrated community….. I have paid a very very high price for my work AGAINST threats to human dignity, oppression, and attacks towards ALL people. My God knows how high that price has been. I HAD NO IDEA that black face was a violation towards people who are of African descent until my later years. NEVER. I thought it was just some style of entertainment that some found necessary. I did know the horrors of a white hood though. When I have been asked what I am afraid of I would always say-and still do- “rape and the Ku Klux Klan”. It should be left wholly to the people who are African-American citizens in Virginia to decide if this man, without whose vote would not be governor- remains in his seat. A special election.
