Count me as one who will not follow him off the cliff. I very recently decided to leave the far right, and now that I have figured it all out, I'm trying to figure out which Dem I might vote for. Sadly, I think the only thing that will beat him is if the shut down lasts just long enough to alienate his base, which will happen. The conservative circles I was in seem to believe that the "poor people" on fs and stuff are all libs, and they think it's hilarious that the shutdown is affecting those people. But I live in the south in a town that looks like a trump rally threw up, and almost everybody here is poor. Most of his base is probably hurt by the shutdown. If he let's it continue, his poor base is going to turn on him and that will help. One the other hand, in the conservative circles, they flip flop. They hate him for not immediately calling an emergency over the wall, then a minute later they are cheering him for dogging pelosi. I hope the Dems pick someone good.
