3. I am so impressed by James Baker as were so many world leaders. Loyal to his country and friends. Massive intelligence, competence and integrity. JB and GB are of a different era. JB is a modern man while GB is a patrician, old ways. I think of GB as more of a father figure than a friend to JB. GB wanted to exert superiority and control over JB. GB is a covert narcissist. He would not have become president without manipulating and exploiting JB. JB would have been a great president but he acquiesced to GB. Of the 3 presidents JB served, ironically he was worst treated by his 'best friend' GB.
