  2. The only Republican President since the 1970's with the guts to raise any kind of taxes to offset national debt… even though he could still have done that by reducing the military budget by a percentage, and doing so would probably have allowed him to not raise taxes… but that means Bill Clinton may not have ended up winning the 1992 election.

  3. I hear the word ‘decent’ used to describe this president by almost everyone that spoke about him – if that isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is.

  4. George Herbert Bush 43rd vice president of United States Terms Janaury 20 1981-Janaury 20 1989 41st president of United States Janaury 20 1989-janaury 20 1993

  5. Thank you and God Bless you for your service George H.W. Bush in being a Veteran. As well as sign off on treaties with Mikhail Gorbachev after Ronald Reagan's two terms to end the Cold War in peace. A much simpler time with our country. Got us out of the Desert Storm War in record time. Make great connections with Bill Clinton when he won instead of burning bridges. I hope we can have a humble individual such as yourself again run for our President. Rest in peace and you'll never be forgotten.
