NBC News Finds Abandoned, Inoperable U.S. Military Equipment At Kabul Airport

NBC News’ Kabul-based producer Ahmed Mengli toured military hangars at Kabul airport where he found abandoned U.S. aircraft. The Pentagon has said it made weapons and military equipment inoperable before American forces left, but didn’t destroy the airport so the Taliban-run government can use it.

  1. You wouldn't leave military equipment in working condition to terrorists that took over an entire county. The Taliban was mad when they say this was done. They wanted the equipment for their use

  2. ome lame confident these guys have earlier saying that they can fix them and such. Taliban are a joke and I'm glad that the U.S decided to destroy them because if the afghanistan soldiers falls as before. best have the equipment destroy rather then to let the taliban having more equipment.

  3. Those can all be fixed if you're as determined as a terrorist organization with black market and Pakistani military contacts or salvaged for parts. Didn't we see a black hawk flying over Kabul with a guy tied to it? Seriously, why not just set everything on fire or toss a grenade inside or fill it with diesel and light it up.

  4. All the money wasted could build 1,460,000 houses for the homeless in the United States…next time before you vote strike a deal with your political leaders to sign an agreement of not wasting the taxpayers money.

  5. Leave it to NBC covering for Biden, to find a few broken pieces of equipment out of the $80B left there. An Army Warehouse of deadly weapons. What a shitstorm.

  6. Some of those US Military equipment just require a single pin or chips missing that whole thing is dead. Also many military vehicle are expensive to maintained especially in a region that is poor and ill equipment to have a semi- advance industry to reproduced parts, but even if a poor region is able to do. One example I know how to construct an electrical component yet I do not have the resources and money to produce the advancement component those US Military vehicles will need which will take some advance industrial complex to produce.

It's possible just need an industrial complex plus a really smart people that Taliban are missing to have.

  7. Of course it was destroyed. Duh. Like we'd leave anything behind for our enemies to use. Really? They thought that we would? Just how stupid are those people? They should count their blessings that we didn't leave a remote tactical nuke to blow their sorry arses into their next Kingdom. What a bunch of whiners.

  8. Our tax dollars, this is crazy. We have no choice! Our hard earn tax for this and to arm terrorist who will injure or murder innocent people. This is what we work for!!!!

  9. So the Black Hawk helicopter we saw flying in the video release by the taliban does not exist and the 2.6 billion dollars in cash left behind or also fake – guy if you want I can send you the video just give me an email address or a web site to up loaded

  10. That's a bit like taking the keys out of your ignition and saying "look now it can't be operated". These helicopters will be fixed in a matter of hours.

  11. It's almost as if Joe cheated an election and is now getting paid off to make bad decisions that are favorable to our enemies. Traitor….

  12. Taliban Holds SIX Planes Carrying American Hostages as Biden-Harris Regime Tries to Shove Afghanistan Down the Memory Hole
A terrorist organization is holding dozens, perhaps hundreds of Americans hostage and mainstream media is busy pretending like Afghanistan is old news at the behest of the Biden-Harris Regime. This is arguably the lowest point in history for both American foreign relations as well as our “free press.”
As a matter of fact, let’s just call it like it is. This is DEFINITIVELY the lowest point ever reached by American media as they dismiss their responsibilities to the people and the truth in favor of saving the man and woman they helped install into the White House.

It would be one thing if they didn’t report on it at all while waiting for confirmation. Instead, they ARE reporting on it in bits and pieces, then downplaying the implications. This should be leading up 24-7 coverage of a disaster in which American lives are at risk. Instead, it’s being reported as probably not that big of a deal. See the CNN “coverage” of it below.
The story broke over at Conservative Brief with comments made by Representative Michael McCaul:

The ranking Republican on the House Foreign Affairs Committee said Sunday that the Taliban were holding Americans “hostage” by preventing them from leaving aboard a half-dozen planes that are ready for departure because they “want something” in return.
“We have six airplanes at Mazar Sharif Airport, six airplanes with American citizens on them as I speak, also with these interpreters, and the Taliban is holding them hostage for demands right now,” Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said during an interview with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace.

  13. I am furious! People, it is time to unite. Our veterans go homeless. Our citizens go hungry. Our children go forgotten. Our orphans go left behind. And, our government wastes money like this? It is time we stand up, and be heard! Dont be silent. Speak YOUT piece!
