  1. Why was she walking that far from school to home? That wouldn’t be allowed in my child’s school district. If you’re not within .25miles from the school you ride a bus.

  2. She’s a smart girl. The ONLY reason she survived is because she’s a smart smart girl. Gain their trust. Always gain their trust.

  3. I would be scared to death to get into a car with a stranger number one the person could have a weapon number 2 the person could be drinking an alcoholic beverage and lastly that person could be on some kind of a drug. Whether you are a teen or an adult stranger danger should always be exercised

  4. I think there is more to the story she told yes I'm happy she turned up safe there is no telling what could have happened but a lot of questions remain in my mind number 1 wasn't she taught about stranger danger I'm 56 years old and I won't even take a ride from a stranger number 2 how did she come in contact with the suspect number 3 did the authorities bother to check her phone did she meet him on Facebook or other social media number 4 what about her boots she said her feet were hurting her why didn't she take the bus home or why didn't she call her mom to pick her up number 5 why did her cell phone go dark

  5. I think there is more to this story than what was being said. wasn't Abby taught about stranger danger did the cops bother to look into that Why didn't she take the bus home .

  6. I don’t understand how a 14-year old young girl is allowed to walk all the way home in such a rural area? No place is safe there are sick people everywhere! So many kids are abducted going to or from school. Sicko’s watch and wait and then strike!!!

  7. Parents need put there kids on check or if not get a babysitter just cause she 15 or 16 or 17 she still kid tell she reaches 18 man is you're fault for not being smart parents

  8. charge the mother first of all she wasn't kidnapped she ran away listen to her favorite tom petty song she wanted to be free .. also she wasn't happy something was going on and happening to her look in her eyes

  9. I just watched her story on Tv. Glad she came back. This can happen anywhere, but as parents, we should always teach our kids not to talk to strangers and never walk alone.

  10. People saying kids shouldn’t walk home from school are wayyyyy to over protective the chance of this happening is sooooooo little. (Unless you live in a bad neighborhood)If you live close to the school you don’t get a bus and sometimes there parents are busy to pick them up. Plus it’s good exercise and a way for kids to clear there minds.stop making fear full kids. If your concerned have them carry pepper spray

  11. I'm my city it's against the law to even have your child at the bus stop alone. We have to be there when the get on and when they get off. If no parent or adult is at the bus stop when the children are brought back home bus drivers aren't allowed to let the children get off of the bus. They will take your child back to the school under supervision until a parent has been reached. For her to be walking home is scary in this cold cruel world.
