yeah that last part doesn't sit with me very well. I mean, WHY would people would leave their pets behind in a dangerous place (or in path of danger). Not to mention Trapped where if there is a fire (example: electric fire), the support beams failing, or the house getting flooded. And have no means to escape. Isn't that umm the same as neglecting an animal and or mistreatment of animals (usually that result in jail time)
Pets and animals should not have been left behind. More than ample time was given for people to prepare for this storm event. Predictions for this storm moving farther inland were on public media. There is no logical excuse for people or animals being left behind.
