  1. Why in the hell were those dogs locked up in that place? Honestly. This is just outrages. Let us find the owners and on the next storm put them in there and lock the gate. I'm sorry. This is just wrong on so many levels.

  2. Hard to judge.. I have seen people fire fighters leave wife and family behind in Katrina.. never a easy choice but who are we to judge

  3. Some people don't think of their pets as members of the family like they should. Some people keep animals for reasons other than companionship, which is wrong to do to dogs and cats, who were specifically bred for companionship and depend on us to survive.

Other people get forced to leave them behind when they can't find anywhere to go except a shelter that doesn't accept pets, but you should have made sure you got to the animal-friendly shelters and made sure you had a plan. Find friends and family before something happens who are willing to take them in the event of an emergency, otherwise don't get a pet

  4. Why would the owners leave them locked up in such a vulnerable position??? I would never leave my animals behind and especially NOT in a cage on ground level with absolutely nowhere to go knowing that there would be a flood. Shame on you!!

  5. How can you lock your pets inside your home knowing they will die???? This is a murder, sorry but the family should be arrested. Pets are part of the family. Only a cruel murderer would let their pets locked inside a house knowing a flood is coming to kill them.

  6. When we first heard about Florence my husband said that our dogs would be the first and most important things he got into the car to evacuate!!! Got to love a husband of 34 years that thinks of loved ones first!!! Have a great night everyone and remember it’s the helpless children, animals and elderly that need us strong humans the most!!! God Bless America, lets make “America” strong again and be the men and women we need to be!!!!

  7. Atleast let your animals free. Someone will eventually find them. They were trapped and afraid. I'd there chipped and collared let them out… You don't leave horses in a barn, you let them out. Same with dogs, let them out of there kennel.

  8. Remember the kids in cages at ICE facilities too !!

Republican response: …..oh..but that's is different, they are breaking the law…

  9. Sorry but u would have to physically arrest me. Those cops had plenty to worry about, so I feel u could have gone. They were just going to let them drown. They are hunting dogs and probably never get out of those pens to be honest. It's sad.
