  2. Gosh even after this amount of time, my heart is still heavy looking at this. Not only Aretha was extraordinary, rare, and unique, it reminds me just how powerful and lasting a gift from God can be. There are not many who can survive in the music industry as long as she has. Only very few. All I can say is God is amazing! It's obvious He brought Aretha here for a reason. She soothed our hearts probably more than any other singer I can think of. There are so many great artists out there, but Aretha was just so different, so creative with her improvisations. She gave everything in song. She was expressive, raw in her emotion, and I can understand why she was called the Queen of Soul. Thanks be to God for His gifts. Thank God for Aretha.

  3. 10 months later and my heart still breaks. The history and talent we lost the day the queen died is massive. There's a huge void. RIP TO THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!

  4. A lot of people call her a Bitch,… But she wasn't, she was a genius in music, a civil rights icon…and still kind of a mystery all at once. God bless y'all.

  5. "once in a generation"? NOT!! There has been 4 or 5 generations since she started! NOT A SINGLE SINGER HAS COME ALONG THAT COULD TOUCH ARETHA! NOT EVEN WHITNEY,BABY!NOBODY.

  6. A life long contribution to music and a contribution to my life. I enjoyed her songs. Now she has stopped singing. But I can still hear her sing. God rest her soul . The Queen of Soul music, sister Aretha Franklin .R.I.P

  7. Being a white woman Kelly Clarkson sang her ass off. I get so tired of that maybe we are to start doing that so that they can understand what's low self-esteem sounds like always trying to convince yourself that because you're black you can be good at something to. They're low self-esteem has shown for years and I'm sick of it. Grow some self-esteem people
