  1. Falling on deaf ears. I said 10% of GDP or more will be devoted to climate mitigation and was laughed out of the room. Fires jumped the Sierra Nevada and it rained at the summit of Greenland in 2021. Food costs will dramatically increase as arable land decreases.

  8. We're now 8 billion. Every year 80 million net new precious humans join us. That's 10 New York Cities worth of food, clothing, water, housing, healthcare, education that is needed EVERY YEAR. Yet our only home Earth does not add resources at that rate. Civilization has been wildly successful. Nation States are several hundred years old, they did a decent job getting us to this point. It's time for a new model, we're capable. We have the tools necessary. Political leaders, religious leaders would be wise to get started. The international institutions built on the corpses of 50 million dead in WW2 require tending to. The obscene trillions and trillions of dollars wasted globally on war. The tremendous brain power also wasted on war. As the old biblical saying goes we must beat our swords into plowshares, spears into pruning hooks. We can do it!!!

  41. Only about 30% of Australia is habitable, why they would not be a leader of climate change efforts blows my mind. All they're cities are on the coast which they won't be if sea levels continue to rise and if that doesn't destroy the habitable areas the fires will….

  43. Climate change is a hoax. Glaciers melting exponentially, ozone hole getting larger. Big oil planning new exploration and sea lanes where sea ice melting rapidly. Small islands disappearing due to sea level rises. More intense storms. Weather patterns inverting. But acknowledging any of this may cause wealthiest to lose a nickel. Profit over planet so destroy God's planet, you can always ask his forgiveness on your deathbed, just as long as you prospered from the destruction.
